As I sullenly lay in bed

I long to hear your voice

But you’re gone, nothing is said,

And I haven’t got a choice

Being apart, and still desiring

Your presence

I feel you in my mind,

Your everlasting presence

I feel you in my mind.

Your never ending essence

Flashes of passion sporadically reveal

Beautiful thoughts caught on our minds movie real

Mesmerized by the way it makes us feel

Our bodies tremble in ecstasy and zeal

Getting lost within your eyes

Remembering your chest rise in passionate sighs

By the beach or in my bed

In the grass or in my head

Our Love did surely bloom

Leaving my heart eternally consumed.

My first poem to my x-wife when I met her, Laia Juncosa Vilella. We met on the beach, the rest is history.

To feel the smoothness of your skin

Caressing you softly once again

Our closeness raising our body heat

Under the dampness of our sheets

Your eyes that saw deep in my soul

And on my heart did take its toll

Forever this floats in my mind

So when I sleep it does remind

I see you, then I see you again

In my dreams that will never ever end

I see you in the stars, the moon, the sky

I see you in every human’s eye.

Surrendering to me like

Surrendering to no other

Where some use your surrender

To control, take advantage of

Or hurt you,

I accept surrender as the opening

Of your heart to mine,

which is already open

Remembering your smell in my sheets

I see a wild rose

Lovely to inhale

Over the green secluded nook

Vines and thorns unveil

The silent emotions of beauty

As it unfolds to me

Luring with warm thoughts

Watering with attention

Waiting for love to bloom

Filling one with sweet perfume

The feeling of fresh love’s

Aroma lifting high above

Although this rose thief can’t pick you

In my heart I will always find

The smell and my memory

Of a coy crimson rose.

Written to Sabrina Hunter, my first real love in 1995.

I’m not here, more there

With you, more beautiful

more than I could say

More than I can do

More than I could be

Nor see

Feeling more for you

More for you

More for love

For love is more
